I bought this card for myself last week. I am not so great at letting stuff go. In fact, if there was an Olympic medal for obsessing over stuff I can’t control, I could be a contender. But for this weekend, I am grateful for fall, and Steve’s birthday, and trips to the mountains. No whining, no election coverage, no worries. Though I am not very fashionable, I do love fashion. This year at New York Fashion Week, Anniesa Hasibuan showed the first runway collection with hijabs, and it’s stunning.

Last night as we watched the news, following the protesters in Charlotte and Tulsa, we both wondered what it must like to be a black man, and have people be afraid of you, for simply being. Ashley Garret wrote a powerful piece this morning, called A Heart Walking Around in a Body. In the comments she refers us the Luvvie Ajayi’s post, 9 Things White People Can Do. Both of these helped me…I hope they bring some light for you.
